How do I collect my paternity test samples?

Our sample collection kit, used for both legal and home paternity testing, enable collection of cheek cell samples using sterile oral swabs (note that prenatal testing is an exception and is done using blood samples).

The procedure is done in a matter of seconds and is absolutely painless. We encourage using oral swab samples where possible as we have a very high probability of successful DNA extraction with these samples. If you are unable to provide us with oral swabs, then you might want to consider our forensic DNA testing services for forensic samples as an alternative.

How does it work?

The cost of our home paternity test is only $109. The price includes the, home DNA testing kit sent directly to the address you provide, lab analysis (testing samples of alleged father and child) and accurate results sent by email.

The DNA test results are normally available within 3-5 working days. The result will show with a probability of 99.99% or higher if the alleged father is the biological father of the child. If the alleged father is not the biological dad, he will be excluded with a 100% probability.

What does the cost of the home paternity test include?

EasyDNA does not include any hidden costs and the price cited here includes the home sample collection kit, the instructions on how to collect your samples and the precautions to follow, a consent form to authorize us to test the samples (the form is to be signed by everyone taking part in the test), and a pre-addressed return envelope. As soon as we receive samples from our clients, we send them an email informing them that the samples have reached us. This email will also include the date when the DNA testing results will be ready and made available to our client.

Do I need to test the mother?

While we do suggest including the mother’s sample in a paternity test, we can still successfully carry out the test if she is not available. If only the alleged father and child are available, we can still carry out the test and provide you with a very accurate result. If you are wondering why you should include the mother, this is because it helps us with our analysis. If we have the mother’s sample, your paternity test result will show a probability of 99.99%. If we do not test the mother, the result will show a probability of paternity of 99.9%.
